Our History
When my children were of preschool age, I wanted to enroll them in a preschool program that offered a quality educational experience. I soon discovered that the type of learning environment I was looking for simply did not exist. Having an extensive background in education, I decided to open my own preschool and in September of 1973, Learning Time Preschool, Inc. was founded.
In the early years, Learning Time offered part-time preschool classes to children ages two, three, and four but within a few years, the need for high quality full time preschool education combined with full day care, became apparent. In response to many parent requests, a decision was made to expand our school to meet the need for full time preschool education and care.
It was my goal to offer the same high quality program for children of working families that had previously been offered as a part-time preschool experience. With the help of my husband, James, we designed and built our first school. James worked as the General Contractor and I devoted my time towards developing a full time quality preschool program.
Learning Time North opened in September, 1989, and offered both part-time and full-time classes for Infants thru children twelve years of age. With its continued success, our West Campus opened in October, 1994, followed by the Geist Campus in May, 1998. My husband and I continue to own and operate each of the Learning Time Preschool campuses.
